Hello from Paisley, Scotland
Hello!
I'm Shannon, the social media manager at Houston Kiltmakers in Paisley, Scotland. Firstly, I am impressed at the scale and scope of this website, with kilt enthusiasts from all over the world. Most recently I had the pleasure of speaking with Justin Guthrie of North of Hadrians near Vancouver, Canada. We mainly discussed the similarities and differences between kilts on either side of the Atlantic. It's fascinating having a diverse group of people passionate about Highland wear as it allows you to be able to see how things have morphed over time or through travelling from one place to another. For example, Justin told me ruche ties have not taken off in popularity as they have here in Scotland. Justin also includes pockets in his kilts, which I fear may be a small point of contention here, but lets just say the more places to store a dram the better!
Nice introducing myself to you all!
Shannon

Welcome from a Scotsman living in the English midlands.
The last year or two can't have been easy for kiltmakers, but hope things are starting to improve.
