Warm greetings to all from Plainfield, Illinois USA!

Jeff here. I've been overcome by the urge to own and wear a Kilt over the past month or so. As a short man I think I long to have a garment that is made to my specifications and won't have to be turned up/tailored like off the rack pants.

I've been visiting the forum regularly over the past couple of weeks and have found it to be a good place for information and answers to my questions. Thank You!

I'm saving up the funds for my first kilt. The variety of Tartans is amazing and I find myself exploring various Tartan sites at least once per day if not more, searching for that one perfect Tartan.

My great-grandmother was a MacLeod. She came to Chicago from Hope Mills, North Carolina in the 1920s.

Welcome to the forum from just slightly North and East of you (the extreme SouthSide of Chicago).

Good luck with the kilt quest...sounds like you're going to have to have them made to size but that's a good thing. You'll love it.

from the extreme north east side of Chicago. On your profile page on the right hand column is a Social Groups area. If you sign up for Chicago Kilted, you will get PMs when there is something going on. BTW a few of us are meeting up at the Duke of Perth on North Clark Street on Saturday at 8 pm. You'd be welcome even if you aren't kilted yet.
