Hello from Queensland, Australia
Hi everyone,
Thanks for having me on this forum, I've been viewing for a while & finally decided to join up to see what else I can learn & contribute.
I've been wearing kilts since I was 13 and joined my school's kilted Army cadet unit & pipe band as a tenor drummer. It's these early years in the 90's that influenced my kilt wearing. After a few years on the drums I decided to learn the pipes, which I still play today. Mostly I play on my own, but I am a member of a band in another town a couple of hours away & play with them when I can.
I have some distant Scottish ancestry going back a few generations to the Malcolm/McCallum and Hay names.
I've attached a photo of my children & I at dawn on Anzac Day 2020.
I'm looking forward to learning & sharing.
