Hello from Scotland
Hi.
I thought i'd finally register and post something. I've seen the forum pop up a few times over the years when looking at kilt-related "stuff" on the net but i've only lurked until now.
I was inspired to register after receiving a gift of a full mask fox sporran this Christmas. I've worn full mask sporrans for as long as i've been worn the kilt but never actually owned one of my own. My dad has several: fox, badgers, otter etc and my brother and I have borrowed them loads over the years.
The fox sporran i was given was made from a pelt of an animal that had been shot by my dad on my parents' farm just outside Stirling.
I'd like to wear the kilt more - not just for weddings and ceilidhs. I've definitely noticed a trend in recent years of people in my age group wearing the kilt at all sorts of, admittedly special, occasions but not necessarily formal occasions like weddings. Being in my 20s, i attend a lot of weddings! So... here's a photo of me from my own...
