Hello from the Seattle area
Hi, my name is Marc and I am a beginning piper soon to be kilted. I work for a local fire dept. and a group of us have started a pipes and drums band to represent our fire depts. and locals in the county we work in. Eastside Firefighters Pipes and Drums of King County, WA. We have 10 kilted members and I am shooting for a St. Patty's 2011 kilting. I have never worn a kilt and the wife just found out that we go regimental under our kilts. I think a shock to her.
USA boy by birth with Irish ancestory. I look forward to wearing a kilt. I hear they are comfortable.
This site looks like a great place for information.

Welcome from a Whidbey Islander currently living in the middle of nowhere.
The grass is greener on the other side of the fence...and it's usually greenest right above the septic tank.
