Hello from Southern California...
Greetings fellow Kilt wearers!
Alan from Southern California here. Interesting concept for a website...but I like it!
I am heading to Scotland in mid-August for a Clan family reunion and Highland games, in Killin. It will be my first out-of-US wearing of my Kilt.
Unfortunately, I was unable to get a new kilt made and delivered in the family tartan, prior to my departure. Mine is in the "Scottish National" colour...but I have been assured that it will still be in good taste.
Well, that's it for now. Perhaps we will exchange elsewhere on the forum boards!

If it's all to do with McNab, not only the Killin Highland Games but also the Lochearnhead Highland Games normally gets a significant number of clan crested followers.
McGregor, McLaren and McNab are normally prominent at these games.
Cromachs, Range Rovers, picnic hampers and old school ties (from south of the border) can be seen in excess.
However, at Lochearnhead there's usually a very good standard of piping competitors there.
If you're attending Lochearnhead or Killin, and wearing the kilt; you may find yourself among as many kilted Americans and Canadians as there are Scots.
Welcome.
