Hello from the Southern Hemisphere
I am a band piper and have therefore worn a kilt for a number of years, and have consulted (stalked) this board for ideas about our uniform. We have had to change a few things as certain items become unavailable. We wear Ancient McCallum kilts, and blue tones for the rest of our kit, with green pipe bags and tassels.
I am in the middle of making my own personal kilt, in Murphy/Tara tartan, and am having the best fun with it! It is box pleated and only 4y, pleated to the sett as I couldn’t decide on which stripe I preferred. I know it isn’t traditional, but I am planning on binding the waist with either gold or yellow wool tape, as I adore that look.....
