Hello from Swartz Creek Michigan
I am pleased to have found this forum. I am ready to start the process of buying my first kilt! I am also learning to play the pipes. A struggle all on it's own.
Cheers!

Welcome to the Great Rabble!
As has been said here often, "The pipes? How hard can they be? There are only nine notes and all you have to do is blow, squeeze, and finger at the same time!"
Congratulations!

Hi, Pipenplumber, and welcome to X Marks from the bottom end of Africa.
Good to know you are taking up the pipes. I hope to do that too, sometime.
Regards,

Hi Pipenplumber,
There are many few pipers in the rabble, some of them are quite accomplished (read professional) - they are a humble group. Whenever someone wants to learn how to play, these are the ones who recommend getting personal instruction so that you don't learn bad habits which you will have to 'un-learn' later. I'm sure a few will pipe in (groan) if you ask for assistance or advice.
Be sure to submit photos when you get your kilt - we LOVE photos!
