Hello from Upstate NY
It's on its way. Kilt number one is in the mail now. So, greetings from Herkimer NY. I went low-tech for the first one, and will see where we go from there.

Hello Jim,
Welcome to XMarks from the other side of the Atlantic in Norfolk, England.
Ah, the wait for the kilt - it doesn't get any better for the second kilt, or the fifth, or the tenth...
But soon as you put it on - all the waiting is forgotten!
Regards
Chas

From the North Country...
Welcome from Fort Drum / Watertown!! I'm a native New Yorker (Finger Lakes...definitely not the city) who's found himself back here for a little bit. It's great to have more New Yorkers here at XMTS. I'm sure you'll learn tons and meet some great people, as I have.

Welcome! I went to college in Herkimer and live about 75 miles from there. Some of us meet up at the Central NY Scottish Games in Liverpool. You should join us!

Hi, Jim (another Jim!) and welcome to XMTS from the bottom end of Africa.
Actually, it should be no surprise to find guys named Jim around here, because the name James was Scottish before it was English.
It comes from the same Hebrew root as Jacob (Ya’acov), but by way of Italian. In some Italian dialects the name is Jacopo, but in others it comes out as Jacomo. This form found its way to Scotland, and the rest is history (especially the six Kings James of Scotland [the last of whom became James I of England] and after them James II of England).
Regards,
Mike
