Hello from Ventura, CA
Hello from Ventura, California -- home of the Seaside Games!
I can't trace my Ancestry to Scotland (I certainly can from Ireland from the 1700 and 1800s) - but according to Ancestry DNA - I'm 95% Irish/Scottish/Welsh/English (haha! - so American!).
I've attended the Seaside Games through the years and have loved them. I've made a few skirts out of tartan (which I didn't know when I was buying "plaids" from Mood (Brooks Brothers, Siller/Seller and Sikh). Now, I'm suffering from a kilt obsession and feel I need to make one and have been stalking the boards and Instagram on doing so. I started sewing as a hobby more seriously in 2009 and have a sewing blog but it has gone dormant (PammieandthePs.blogspot.com); I also weave, spin and knit.
If you're in the area -- please give me a shout out. Hopefully when COVID is over - I plan to attend next year's Scotch tasting at the Seaside Games (always a favorite)!
Pam
