    Hello from Virginia!

    Hello everyone!

I am very anxious to begin my journey with the kilt. I plan on making my own as I am an avid costumer and make all my own costumes. I look forward to reading and learning from all of you here.

from Arkansas. One thing though, you being into "costuming," some people may get upset if you call the Kilt a costume. It is an article of clothing that has a long and distinguished history. I know a lot of people (back when I was into Renaissance reenacting) that would get VERY upset if you called their clothes a "costume." Everyone referred to the clothes as "garb." Most people here are a little more laid back than that but people elsewhere may not be.

Welcome, Nikkos. It sounds like you have some experience with a sewing machine. I`m looking forward to seeing what kind of kilt you create.

I think nikkos was just saying that he has experience in costuming which means he has the skills required to make a kilt. Also, failte Nikkos!
