Hello,
I am a Swan . I believe I am descended from Clan MacQueen based upon this reasons:
My people came to America from Ulster and were Scottish covenanters. My immigrant, James Swan, was married to Jane Craig who descends from Clan Craig of Craigfintry. Before these Craigs lived in Ulster, they were in Lanarkshire and Argyll...lands of Clan Macqueen. Also In Ulster, some of my Swan's neighbors were McDonalds who have a lot of history with Clan MacQueen....Finally my DNA shows Norse blood (MacQueens being Norse-Gaelic), my ancestry all comes from Scotland and Ireland, other than my German side of the family which I already have traced back to the 1500's.
