Helloooo, Norway calling!
Figured I'd register her now that I've gotten all "kilty".. after 5-6 years or so of faffing about, I finally got a utilikilt in late May (Original, tan), and a week ago I got my second (Survival, Basil(green)).. getting this addiction thingie!!!!.
Wasnt really sure I'd _dare_ wear it in public but it turned out to be no biggie at all.
I went with the UK's because I liked their design best, ive been worried sick for 5 years they were gonna close down before I got around to getting one, checking their website like 2-3 times a week... and well .. as I have no scottish ancestry (that I'm aware of) wearing a tartan one just feels plain wrong...
Oh yea.. im 32 (subject to change) and live in Norway and I have a dog.

"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon

Glad you took the plunge. We also have at least four other members from Norway. You should all have a kilt night before you ice up again.

Ah, but your forefathers may have pillaged Scotland long ago...so pick a tartan...any tartan you choose!

Norway and Scotland have a long and storied history...plus there is a Norwegian tartan:

Another appropriate tartan would the Sinclair tartan, since that clan also has a stong connection to Norway:
