Hi from Alabama
Hi I'm Zach. I've was always taught growing up that my ancestry is almost exclusively from Ireland and Scotland but it wasn't until the past few years that I've really looked into it very deeply. In doing so I was able to trace my paternal side back through Ireland, Scotland, Wales, and England to the early 10th century. I recently started tracing my maternal side and have tracked them back to Scotland in the 1600's.
I've truly never thought of getting a kilt before but tracing my ancestry has peaked my interest, especially since I discovered my grandfather's tartan, and just led me to order my first kilt in Scotland National in polyviscose. I ordered this one because it was affordable and would let me decide if wearing a kilt really fit me and my style.
It should be here in the next few days and I truly hope that I enjoy wearing it as I am already planning on ordering a custom kilt and Kilkenny vest and jacket from USA Kilts in my grandfather's tartan for a prostate cancer, the thing that finally cost him his life on 11/10/2018, fundraiser that I participate in every year.
Me at the fundraiser this year.

Our kilted contingent who I hope to join next year.

Howdy from Franklin, Tennessee, just north up 65 a ways.
I've seen those pics before, I believe. Perhaps one of those folks is an existing XMTS member?

Certainly possible that one of them (probably the short one in the middle) is an existing member but those were taken at Huntsville's Distinguished Gentleman's Ride this past September so you if you are even remotely involved in the motorcycle community you probably saw those pictures there or possibly on the local news.
