Hi from Edinbugh

Hi All!

My name is Ben and I live in Edinburgh. I've recently become more involved in the highland dress world here in Scotland and was excited to find a community like this! How wonderful to find people from all over the world celebrating something so Scottish. My mothers side of the family are Douglas' so I wear the weathered Douglas tartan. I had a sporran made by some local craftsmen in Edinburgh which is beautiful. It's Canadian musquash which is a dark red so goes really nicely with the greens and blues of the tartan. Safe to say, I'm proud to be Scottish and love wearing it when I can.

I was in Beijing with work in november and wore my full attire to a function. I've never had so many people ask to take a photo with me.. perhaps that's my 15 minutes ;)

Anyway, great to meet you all through this medium.
