Hi from Hamilton, Ontario, Canada
I don't personally wear kilts, but I do have a home-based business making kilts for highland dancers as well as the rest of their costuming. I stumbled across this site and thought I would look in to it further...there is always room to learn, so I thought the kiltmaking forum would be of great use to me!

Welcome from the cold and snowy Norway.
I'm sure you will pick up some ideas her at the forum and you will probably have some new ideas and knowlege to share with us.
But if you are a kiltmaker you should absolutely wear it your self.

Welcome Karen,
Tell us more. Do you only sew kilts for women, or do you sew men's kilts too? Do you machine sew or hand sew? Kilt addicts wanna know...

Thanks so much for the warm welcome! I'm looking forward to learning more about the art of kiltmaking!
Riverkilt,
I do specialize in Highland Dancers, although I have made many a man's/pipers kilt in the past. All of my kilts are definitely hand sewn...thanks for asking!
