Hi From Manassas
I have been interested ing getting and wearing my clan kilt, Elliot, on and off for the past five years. Long story short, I am not ready to invest yet. I'll give it another month or two and about 15 to 20 pounds more lost before committing to that kind of expense. Why buy a beautiful Elliot tartan just to decorate my closet with it?
I do have a utilikilt which I bought at The Kilted Nation shortly after they opened in Manassas. Just didn't have the guts, or the belt, to wear it in public. Now that I can finally fit into it again I aim to do so.
Anybody else in Northern Virginia?

Welcome from just down 28 in Nokesville. I've been kilting for a year and a half and my count has grown to 5 with a 6th on the way. I have no Clan other than this forum. My father's family line is fully Czech and my mothers family is American and English but I have not yet found any connection to the northern part of the Isle. We have a few brothers here in the NOVA area.

Hi Chas,
Thanks for the welcome. My 3 greats Elliott grandfather came from Norfolk to the US. We left Scotland through an uncommon route.
New World Czech, Mael Coulim, Sir William, glad to know that I am not alone up here . . . well aside from the ubiquitous bagpipe bands. :-)
Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome!
