from the Highlands of Oregon
Hello one and all,
and greetings from the east side of Oregon. As a first post I am afraid this will be rather boring. I guess a little background might be in order: I was told from my earliest days that our Scottish blood was of Clan Fraser. Many years later, whilst looking through the family tree I discovered a joining with clan Gibbs. Funny that was never mentioned. Like many American families I suppose the lineage was lost in the thrill of the subjective present, losing track of an important part of our make-up, our heritage.
Some parts of our blood lines resonate with greater strength. Thus we flow the genetic river of the ages and find ourselves on the shores of our ancestors, feeling the comfort of a home to which we have returned.
I also wear the Royal Stewart tartan on occasion.
Regards to all,
Ryc
