Howdy, I am Jack from Killeen TX
Have only recently gotten significantly motivated about my Scots heritage. I do have a kilt (cheapo) and have worn it. The tartan is the Campbell (Black Watch) sett both because it is readlily available and also because a large section of Ralstons were closely associated with the Campbells of Kintyre.
I am retired US Army and retired General Dynamics, currently the Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Beanstalk Enterprises, LC here in Killeen. The latter is not all that big a deal since my wife and I are Beanstalk!
I have joined the Scottish American Military Society and am working on a black tie setup for functions. The local chapter, SGT John MacGregor post 1298, is pretty much DOA but would like to see it revived. There are other local members whom I have met but not sure how to go about rebuilding the post. Or even just meeting up with local Scots ancestory. I am looking forward to interacting with other members of X Marks the Scot!

Welcome from the shores of Lake in the Hills, Illinois!
Check the Texas sub forum out, maybe post up a gathering suggestion and get ideas from meeting with other local kilties, perhaps some would be keen on reviving that post!

Welcome from a Scotsman living in the midlands of England.
I remember a classic (?) crossword clue: "Did Jack hear them?" (9 letters). The answer was "Beanstalk".
