Howdy, from SE Arizona!
Okay, so nobody I know actually says "howdy". I am a second generation American. My grandfather came to America from Portsoy with his Mum when he was just a wee lad of seven years. My father was very proud of being a Scot. Unfortunately, he did'nae own his first kilt until a year or so before he died. Determined not to make the same mistake, I was able to purchase two for an amazing price. Granted, they are PV, but the look and quality are good and I doubt many would be able to tell the difference, short of actually feeling it. To do that, you have to buy me dinner and a Guinness first!
I actually registered on this site back in '08 and promptly let life get in the way. I look forward to getting to know you all.

Howdy from Calgary where during Stampede week in July you will hear "howdy"... don't see a lot of kilts that week though.

Well, how-de-do Scott, and welcome to X Marks from Delaware. Too bad your dad didn't start wearing the kilt sooner but, at least he got to experience it before he passed.
We are mighty glad you came back and look forward to your participation.

Okay, O'Searcaigh, I've been trying to teach myself Scots Gaelic for years. Without anybody to correct my pronounciation, it's a little (LOT!) difficult. Could you please phonetically spell your name for me? I would love to be able to hear it in my head correctly.
Thanks!
