Howdy from Texas
Howdy Folks.
I am a newbie to the forum, and to kilts. I have always had a mild interest in them-I think they're pretty damn cool. Another forum that I am a member of had a link here, so I followed to see where it might lead me. I have never worn one before, and frankly, I am not quite sure where to begin. I hope I can get some ideas and preferences from others that will help guide me to my first kilt.
I am a native Texan who works full time and goes to school part time. I enjoy a lot of things, but my newest endeavors are hiking (more consistently) and star gazing. I think those would be great activities for which to have a kilt. ;)
I am looking forward to meeting you and engaging in dialogue.
Best,
DM

Welcome!
I’m a fellow Texan who is new to the kilt-wearing world as well. This forum is great for any questions you might have. I’d only add that I had a great experience ordering from USA Kilts. Again, welcome!

Well met DM. Glad to another Southern gent interested in kilts. Any outdoor event is great for wearing kilts. You may find the desire to expand your clothing choices (in social settings) once you find the benefits of being kilted. Welcome to the Rabble.

Hey Buddy, thanks for the welcome. I do hope the aforementioned proves true. What are your favorite occasions for it (outside)?

Hey Buddy!
We are practically neighbors. I am fairly close to DFW airport. Would love to chat more about it.

Thanks, Masonacoats. It looks like you're in Houston; I'm in DFW. I will possibly be traveling to Houston next month. How long have you been a wearer?
