Howdy y'all, It's Alex from Oklahoma

I am eager to learn more about kilts and where to buy a quality kilt. I plan to visit the UK and want to wear a kilt during the Scotland portion of my trip. I don't have Scottish ancestry (my ancestry is 100% Chinese). But I figured that since I wear jeans everyday and that jeans are Western clothing, it'd be equally as fine for me to wear a kilt.

And yes, I know that the average Scotsman wears kilts not much more often than the average American guy wears a tuxedo.

    Welcome, from Inverness-shire.

If I could give you a wee bit of advice? Learn to wear the kilt properly. Nothing pleases the locals more than seeing the visitors wearing the kilt that way. Alright, there are different ideas what "wearing the kilt properly" means, but try not to get too far from the traditional way would be appreciated.
