I'm baaack...
Hey all...I was hanging around here years ago, and life got busy and difficult, so I sorta fell off the planet. Whole lotta water under the bridge since then, built a new career and going through a divorce, and probably going to remarry after that gets done with...basically I got out of a bad situation into a much better one.
New lass is a Stewart, and I am descended from the Hamiltons, so I am guessing there is going to be alot of tartan in the relationship. I jumped back on here because she fueled the fire...she wanted to drag..errrm...make a family trip to the Maryland Renfaire and insisted we all garb up, so, I figured I would drag out a kilt and throw on some hiking boots and a sporran and call it good....did I mention she is a Stewart? Wee bit stubborn, that one....she insisted I wear the felidh mor, and proceeded to throw one together for me in Stewart dress....so we matched. I was grinding my teeth over the pirate costume shirt...but whatever....I have linen and a pattern to correct that soon..The research for a doublet pattern and some oher odds and ends led me back here...so I figured being kilt obsessed once again would not be horrible.
I had progressed in my kilt making using off the shelf material...digi camo and whatnot to the point where I feel I am ready to tackle one in tartan, although I would like to perhaps make the first one in a less pricy PV...I just have not found a reasonable source yet. Although, I note the price of 13oz. HoE tartan at the Tartan museum is quite reasonable. Maybe I will start there.

If you were a member previously I can re-activate your previous registration or merge that old registration into this new one. This would bring all of your previous post up to this registration.
All I would need is the username of the old registration. If you don't remember that, the old email address would work too.
There is no reason to register anew and lose your history.

I have merged the registration Llwyd which had 367 posts, but which had gone inactive back in 2013, into this new registration. The email of this registration is the good one.
All of the old registration's posts are now listed under the new username.

If you are still in the same town in VA, you could search the members list on Location. Or use where you live when you first joined, assuming you put in your Location back then.
