Hi there!

I am excited to join this forum as I start my journey with kilts, kilt-making, and tartan design. I have Scottish heritage (MacGillivray clan), but never really explored it formally. I have purchased the seminal Art of Kilt Making book and supplies are inbound to make my first kilt. I am attracted to the low-yardage box-pleated kilts as explained by by Matthew Newsome in the PDF that accompanies the book. I'd also love to learn how I can use my video/educational skills to keep this tradition alive with some high-quality videos of the process. I've learned a lot on YouTube, but there's not great content in this regard that I can find in a step-by-step manner for beginners. Thanks for this great resource and I can't wait to learn more!
