    Introductions

Hello everyone. my name is J. Wilson, but was born under a german name. My father he was German (I think - Krumbholz) and me mother she well who knows German she says but me thinks she's a liar (humor humor!).

I was adopted into a family as diverse as diverse can be. My father was a Wilson and he did not know if he was Irish or Scottish. My mother she hasn't a clue.

The german side of my family was quite known or so we thought.

Upon doing my family tree I decided to take a dna test. Turns out I'm mostly Irish! Shock to me. Could not be happier because it ties me to my adopted father in away, at least I tend to think so.

    Served in the Army proudly.

I spend my days traveling the world.

I decided to jump into my Irish roots with the same passion I do with everything I do.

    So yeah that's my story.

If anyone knows if the Wilsons are scottish or irish, let me know!

Which DNA test did you take? I had my DNA tested through ancestry.com. One thing to emerge was that their geographical classifications are very broad - their "Irish" category included Scotland! As a result, I appear to have a large component of Irish, though my ancestry is Scottish.

I went with 23andme they have been around longer and from what i have read they have a more solid system. They also have tested far more people than ancestry.

I may do another one to see if it's close.
