Joining in from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan
I am pleased to be joining such an auspicious group of ne'r-do-wells (at least from the few comments I have read so far)
Google search led me here after a friend recently suggested I sew up a kilt. He was admiring some of the vests I have sewn from recycled blue jean material and thought a kilt might be in order. At first I thought it was a daft idea but he suggested I could likely get instructions online. A quick search resulted in me coming across Steve's excellent plans for the X-kilt. Bottom line? at least some of my activities this upcoming winter are now set - sewing an X-kilt on the 1956 Singer 191B sewing machine which was my mother's first sewing machine. Bring on the first pleat!
