I knew kilts were awesome, but I didn't realize the extent of their true power until I finally got one. As soon as my kilt arrived, I put it on and went out to a community party event, and within my first 2 hours kilted, the emcee at the event called me out on the PA for being awesome and gave me one of the prizes they were running contests for (a free meal at a local restaurant).
But seriously, hi from Colorado. I've been lurking here for a long time; I've had the x-kilt pattern printed out and sitting on my sewing desk for over a year, but I haven't managed to set aside the time for that involved of a sewing project. I finally found a brand of utility kilt that I liked both the look and the price of, and took the plunge with a Damn Near Kilt 'Em, in black. It's amazing. I'm already plotting the purchase of another.
