Kello from Kali
I found out a few years back that there was some Henderson in me and a bit of Mitchell (unofficial) so I been asking Santa for a new kilt, but I must have been bad because haven't heard not a single sleigh bell or a ho ho ho.
I suppose that's how it is to be, I can't afford a kilt but I can afford some tartan and I have my mom's old sewing machine and am currently on kilt #8. Self taught, lot's of mistakes, bought "THE BOOK" scraped everything and started over. My hands are way beyond learning new memory so hand sewing is out of the question, my appoligies to the purest, I wear my kilts with pride every day, rain or shine, in the yard, under the car, at work and play, what I like most and don't quite understand is why women like men in skirts, I'm an overweight old dog, I got nothing, and yet they still smile and say those little comments we like to hear.
I guess I have to thank Santa for this new venture, I'm all in so to speak, I have something under raps that I am working on, kilt related of course and I think it will fly, as soon as I iron out a few kinks I'll post some pic's and you can tell me what you think.
Mitch Butterfield
" That guy wearing a kilt"
" I think it's a kilt"
" It looks like a kilt"
" Ya, it's a kilt"
" I think"
P.S. Someone has to figure out how to make Tartan icons, I'm trying but not having much luck, this web site needs clan icons, it aches for clan icons, you can't tell me there isn't someone on this site that could knock this out in one night or day if you prefer.

Hi, Mitch, and welcome to XMTS from the bottom end of Africa.
Congratulations on your kilt-making efforts!
I am not sure that I could turn one out myself, but when I have one in the house I might give it a shot. (As the regulars here know, I had an army kilt for nine years, but had to hand it in 32 years ago.)
Regards,
Mike

from Chicago. You could probably make a tartan avatar from the samples on Tartan Ferret.
