    Kilt Newbie in Denver

Hello friends! I'm Art and I FINALLY decided to embrace my heritage and ordered my family tartan. My wife and I have attended a couple local Highland Games events and this time she urged me to order. It's being made now and I can't wait for it to arrive! Since then, I did what I normally do with a new interest... I deep dive into the subject and am finding that I have the desire to wear a kilt as a normal part of my wardrobe. I did just get in today a UTKilts utility kilt so looking forward to wearing it tomorrow.

My ancestry is both Scottish and Irish on my mother's side and English on my father's side. I'm glad to have found this group and look forward to learning more!

Well met and welcome Art. All of us that have had to wait for a kilt to come in the mail sympathize with you. It only gets better because the kilt comes, you wear it and the world adapts to the different you. Glad to have you with us.

Welcome from Wisconsin — got my first tartan kilt in 2017, so I know just how you feel. The waiting is the hardest part.

You’ll find this is a great and generous community of very knowledgeable people.
