Hello guys and gals.
I finally got over the mental block (some would say fear) and bought my first kilt recently. I will say first off that I do not have any Scottish/Irish/Celtic heritage; I have always thought of kilts as a cool.
I did a fair amount of research (on here) before buying one and decided that, as this was by far the best kilt forum around, I would sign up and meet some like-minded people.
Like most first time kilt wearers, I was pleasantly surprised to discover how warm (and yet cool) the kilt is. First time I wore it outside (to local supermarket) I got two wolf whistles from some girls and a couple of horn beeps (great for the confidence). I wore it last Friday night when I was djing at a club and it was a great success. The crowd initially thought I'd lost a bet!! Most commonly asked question were "Are you Scottish" and "What's underneath"? I had lots of fun being flirty and coy with the girls who asked that second question
Anyway, here are some pics from earlier in the day and from the night in question. I am in the process of buying another couple of kilts as they really are fantastic.
