Kilted Canuc
I'm a Canadian of German heritage who has discovered the fun of wearing a kilt. I have to wear support stockings from the effects of an MRSA infection a year ago. Now we had a very warm summer and I tell you the socks look really dumb with short pants. So I decided to order a kilt and give it a try. My family is Ok with it and so is everybody I have met. I tell you I am hooked. now I just have to fugure out how to keep warm in the winter.

Welcome
Wilkommen aus Hanna, Alberta!
If you want a warmer kilt, KF Carter is correct in what to wear to keep warm.
I wore a kilt when I worked in a pub every Friday, I took the bus to work and I was living in Winnipeg at the time! So I know the cold! : o
Also check out USA Kilts and look at Rocky's beautiful German Heritage Tartan, then you can even wear your own family tartan if you wish?
Best wishes on joining our group and keep us updated with photos and posts.

Hello and welcome from Texas... You might find many of our Canadian Brother and Sisters do very well in the winter with their kilts.. The kilt is a natural insulator from the cold... Most find it's surprisingly warm.. according to the responses we have had.. McMurdo has many pictures of himself in the snow wearing his kilt..and he is a fellow Canadian, too.
Rest assured, you will not have any problems wearing your kilt in the winter.. Welcome, again and enjoy the community of XMarks!
