Kilted Kentuckians
Just registered for the site last night and opened a new social group, "Kilted Kentuckians" (http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/group.php?groupid=37).
I bought a sport-kilt almost a year ago and wear it almost every weekend, mostly just around the house though. I wore it to work on Halloween since I figured it was the one day of the year that I could get away with it. I've worn it to The Pub in Lexington, it was great, like I was an instant celebrity. The wait staff is kilted but I don't think they'd ever seen a customer come in wearing one!
I've decided to take a big step and spend a few bucks to order a full 8-yard, custom-made kilt in my family tartan. Looks like this site offers the best value
(http://www.scotweb.co.uk/sr_swhdr_ei...lt?display=all), but I'd like to hear any suggestions.
I hope to hear from some of my fellow Kentuckians soon. Let's get to work on organizing some Pub Gatherings!

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

Don't know much about their kilts but there are plenty of kiltmakers on this forum. It just depends on what you want. I would suggest a custom kilt, made to measure, that will last for generations.
