    Legman, checking in!

First, a confession: I am not Scottish. At all. My family are Swedish Andersons, but since Swedish culture consists of eating rotten fish and... umm... eating rotten fish, I've appropriated some aspects of Scottish culture as my own.

Second, a disclaimer: My internet handle is a reference to the fact that my right leg is prosthetic, not a tendency towards inappropriate ogling of female lower appendages. It never occurred to me that that might be a problem until a rather irate lady from Springfield Armory called me and proceeded to chastise me rather severely for being sexist.

I've been interested in kilts for close to ten years, but just got my first last year. Being a young man and a student, I am perpetually poor, and good kilts are not cheap (and, as with so many things, cheap kilts are not good). However, I found out last January that I have a heart condition, and when my tax refund last April came to a whopping $800 8) I decided to pull the trigger while I was still around to enjoy the thing and am now the proud owner of an Essential Scotweb casual kilt in MacDonald of the Isles Hunting.

Another reason I enjoy kilting is because I have the touch of the exhibitionist in me and I enjoy gallivanting about with ye olde prosthetic leg sticking out of my kilt. I wore my kilt with my Leg Story $10 shirt to the Texas Renaissance Festival this past fall, to many positive comments (but sadly, no takers!) Unfortunately, a prosthetic leg also makes for some fitting issues.

Other interests include firearms, hunting, camping, history, cooking, redheads, and making things of wood, leather and cloth (not necessarily all together).

Welcome, from a Whidbey Islander currently residing in the middle of nowhere.

I don't even know you yet, and I already like you! You seem to have a biting and sharp sense of humor. I like that!!
