My 1000th post

I've noticed others have taken the opportunity at various posting mile stones to mark the occasion with a special post. I will attempt to do the same, although I won't pretend that my 1000 posts compares to that of you old timers here.
First of all my thanks to Steve as owner and all of the moderators (past and present) for making this the enjoyable place it is to interact with others who have similar (although rarely identical) views relating to the wearing of the kilt.
Secondly, I like to thank long time member McMurdo, for starting his now defunct forum, thescotsforum. This was the first forum of any type that I had ever participated in. For me, joining a forum was a much bigger step than donning of the kilt for the first time, as I had done that some 35 years earlier. It was a small and very friendly place to interact. Traffic on thescotsforum dwindled, so I decided to throw my "balmoral" into the ring here.
I had been a "view only" member of Xmarks for several years, but was reluctant to join because what may have been a friendly exchange of views, sometimes appeared to be bickering. I believe the moderators are doing a better job of controlling this or perhaps I am more accustomed to it. While I'm on this subject let me apologize for any offending remarks I have made in my 1000 posts. I will try to do better.
Lastly, my thanks to all of the other members of Xmarks for your posts. I have spent many enjoyable hours here getting to know and exchanging views with you. You are a wonderful Xmarks family!

Congratulations. It's always interesting for many of us to have an Xmarks landmark like a significant number of posts or an anniversary…we look back on the time that we've been involved here and the discussions that we've participated in…and all the lousy, lame jokes….and the good feeling that we get from being members of this kilted fellowship.

May you post thousands more!

I not sure I worthy of the honour (note Canadian spelling) of the term "gentleman", but I thank you just the same. I too am honoured to be part of this group.
