Hi there everyone
Have just joined to get some, hopefully, good advice on buying a kilt. I have always wanted one since I was about 20. Now at 50, I am getting married again and this time it will be in a Kilt. I'm looking forward to buying the kilt more than the wedding though!
Not being Scottish put me off for ages, but I am celtic (Welsh) and being older I no longer care!

Welcome to a fellow kilted Martin!
It's funny how your inhibitions diminish as you turn 50.
And don't worry about good advice, there's plenty of it available on Xmarks!

Welcome from Michigan,USA. I bought my first kilt at 50,too. Had wanted one for a long time as well. Now that I have it, really wished I had done it 20 or so years ago. Anyways, got #2 for Christmas and #3 is on the way. Lots of good info here, enjoy.

It's about Welsh Kilts. I've got some Welsh parts mixed in with Scots, Irish and English.

100% English myself, I think I bought my first at 48, and now have 5. I didn't make a public appearance in a kilt until I was 50 though.
