New to forum, not to kilting
Hi guys
I have been lurking here for a few days, and thought I should join and say hello. I'm a retired Marine (33yrs) Freemason, and dedicated kilter.
I first got started in Viet Nam of all places when my Maternal Grand Mother ( Frasier) sent me a kilt, as a joke. That was all it took.
I think I have 8 kilts. Being in SoCal I wear the light-weight ones the most!
I am not a purest and tend to go for function over style. For instance I have a bone handeled sgian Dubh that I feel goes with anything, even PC.
But here lately I had an urge to flesh-out my highland attire a little, and decided to make a skunk skin sporran. That's what led me to this forum. The posts here have been very helpful. When I get it done, I'll try out the digital camera.
Well - Hello, and thanks for all the help that you guys have already given me.

In theory there is no difference between theory and practice but in practice there is.
