New guy from Indianapolis
Hi guys! I'm here to do the obligatory "new guy post."
I've lurked around the boards in the past, but finally made an account last night because I had a question that I needed an answer to. I don't hang around message boards very often- it is usually a sporadic thing. Time doesn't allow a lot of it.
Anyway... I'm from Indianapolis, where I was born and raised. I grew up at the racetrack, and spend quite a bit of vacation time at the track (Indy 500, Brickyard 400, formerly F1/ now Moto GP). My avatar shows me kilted in the pits at the Indy 500.
I also enjoy hiking- my favorite trips have been the arctic circle (Galbraith Lake, Alaska) and Scotland (14 days on my own this past August).
I own several kilts, and wear them pretty regularly. I don't wear them in the "off season" (winter), but then again, I wouldn't wear shorts in the winter, either. I can't wear them at work because I have to wear a uniform, so it is usually just casual/ everyday wear.
Blah blah blah... If you want to know more, feel free to ask!

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

Welcome from across the state line. Jump in when you can.
As for winter you just need a heavier kilt. Was out yesterday in my denim kilt with knee high heavy kilt socks. No cold problems with that combination.
