New guy from N. Central Texas
I live about 60 miles SW of Ft. Worth, TX in a town so small that we do not have a traffic light or a McDonalds. Love the quite and the view we have from our perch atop a bluff.
Not sure of my Scottish heritage but my Mother said we were Scott/Irish. Not sure if she meant the whiskey or the blood. With names like Kelley, Murphy and O'Madden I think we are mostly Irish.
I selected the X Marks the Scot tartan for my first kilt which I am anxiously awaiting. (Jonesing) I am a USAF retiree and wanted a kilt with a lot of blue. I plan to wear it to the Air Force Security Police reunion in October. I was also pleased to learn that the kilt maker, Steve Ashton, is a military veteran with a very impressive history.
I enjoy this forum very much and hope to meet some of you in person.

Welcome from Waco, TX. You might want to make the kilt night tonight in Arlington to meet some of the rabble. 5pm at the Black Finn, Saturday Aug 6th.
By the way, some of the Murphy's were part of Clan McDonald, but not if your from Co. Cork. Only the east coast ones.
