New guy in Virginia
Been lurking for too long and finally decided to step up and say hi. Hi. Decided to loose weight and as an incentive, I told myself I would get a kilt when I reached my goal.
Success. I've been researching kilt brands and think I've decided on what I want, but will wait until the local Celtic festival to get measured properly. Look forward to being more active and less lurking.

Getting measured
Welcome to the rabble, USACelt. A word of caution with measurements. You will find that different kilt makers or sellers will have their own, somewhat different, way of measuring someone. I suggest you find someone you want to buy your kilt from and use their method to do the measurements.
If you don't mind a day trip, I would strongly suggest you head up to USA Kilts, they are west of Philadelphia. They make a great product, great customer service, and they offer casual kilts in PV (synthetic fabric), semi-traditional in PV and wool, and traditional in wool.
They offer a good product at a reasonable price. You can use the link above as they are a XMTS sponsor, or check them out at www.usakilts.com.
Regards,
Larry
