New kilt maker from Scotland
Hi I'm Libby. I set up a wee business making kilts last year, and so far, things are going well. I was a solicitor until I had my two lovely wee boys (one is now three and one is one) and I decided that I wanted to be able to work from home to be around them as much as possible, so kiltmaking was my answer to the dilemma.
I went to the Keith Kilt School which I is mentioned on here from time to time, and I have varying opinions on it, depending what mood I'm in, so I'm very interested to read what others think.
Most of all, I'm amazed by te breadth and depth of knowledge and opinion on here, (and I must say I was quite excited to see BarbT on here - The Art of Kiltmaking has been a good friend to me), and so I look forward to taking part in some of your discussions.

from the Scottish Borders.
I am also an early retired Scottish solicitor, now part-time bus and taxi driver.
I met Barb T last month when I was over in America for the New Hampshire Highland Games - she is a very likeable person and she travels around a lot so hopefully you will also get to meet her in person.

Welcome to XMarks...
Glad to have you here!! Be careful though...surfing this great forum may interfere with your productivity as a kiltmaker...trust me on this one!!!
Regarding Barb T...yes she's here and very active. She's also a very friendly and warm person who is more than willing to provide advice and feedback to any or all kiltmakers. I just had breakfast with her a couple of weeks ago...it was a great time! Might go see her at her house this weekend, but not sure if I can swing the gas and time yet...or if she's still available even.
