    New & Kilted

Hello to all, I have been reading the posts for the last few days and decided to join. I am new to the "X" but not the kilt. I have been kilted for the last 20 years and wear the Gordon. Background is...mother's parents came from near Aberdeen - one a Gordon and the other an Inglis. Actually met on the boat coming to the US. Father is from Amsterdam, Netherlands.

I've been back "home" twice and cannot get enough.

Thanks to all for having a forum where all who love the kilt can discuss!

A great big welcome to one who has worn the kilt years longer than I. Indeed a true honor to have you here.

A lot of early Scottish immigrants settled in Pennsylvania (well before your grandparent's time). One branch of my family tree came from there, the McKeans.

Depending where in central PA you probably have lots of kilted company. I know of three of us from the Harrisburg area on this site.

    Welcome, and enjoy

    Welcome ByDand,

From a Gordon cousin by way of Allegheny (?) County N.Y. - Cuba, Rushford area. My Gordon ancestry dissappears in the mists of Colonial New York but there's no doubt the ancestors were Scots.

    Welcome Dand

Welcome to the message board. As a scot living in Scotland if you or any other boarder wants information about scotland then just ask. However the Internet has made the world a lot smaller.
