    New to Kilts - Pennsylvania

Hi everyone and welcome! I've been using the forums and posts on here for months now doing research and looking up tips and other tidbits of info and realized I had never actually registered - so that has now been rectified and here I am!

Just a little bit about me. I have my BA in Theater, minors in acting, tech theater, and French with my main concentration in costumes. However, times are tough and theater costuming jobs are tough to find that pay the bills well so I haven't been doing much of that lately! I have plenty of my own personal projects going - the kilt that brought me here being one of those.

To pay the bills, I'm working as an EMT. I truly love it and enjoy the work I do and am constantly finding it a struggle between EMT and costuming/sewing. I have gotten everything on paperwork set up for a part-time costuming business, however that's about as far as it's gone as my time is very limited (It aslo is not related to kilts, and therefore is not relevant to this forum.)

If you have any questions, feel free to ask away!

Welcome from County Carroll, Maryland. My introduction to kilting was a borrowed kilt that came from a collection of costumes used by various theater groups in Carroll County. I wore it twice and was hooked. When I heard that the collection was being liquidated, I went to see if I could buy their kilts. They had already been culled from the collection. So, I bought my own.
