Hello all, I just purchased a kilt for my 16 year old son and we're looking at adding accessories. The kilt is olive green and made for everyday use. Can kilt vets point us in the right direction for belts, buckles, sporrans, hose, and other items that won't break the bank? Thanks all.

Welcome aboard. What kinda kilt? What brand? Does it already have pockets etc? Let us know some more and we'll be happy to offer suggestions. It all breaks the bank though. Least expensive hose are soccer sox from your local big box sporting goods store.

For hose one of the best places I've found for not breaking the bank is this ebay seller. For sporrans, that would largely depend on the style of kilt as a contemporary one with pockets is generally worn without a sporran. I make my own belts using supplies from Tandy.

First, welcome to X-Marks.
Second, the Amerikilt website sells a nice 2" wide belt that will work well with a UK. The belt comes with a buckle. Go here: http://www.amerikilt.com/
He doesn't need a sporran since his kilt has cargo pockets.
Here's a website for inexpensive cotton hose: http://www.sockdreams.com/_shop/page...ductID_862.php

Welcome Jax!
I haven't been on this forum in so long (damned responsibilities), I'm surprised they aren't discussing plutonium kilts by now.
