New member from Cincinnati Oh, USA
Hi All,
As described in my profile I just ordered my first kilt! It's a MacDonald of Clan Ranald Modern 13oz made by a local kilt maker here in Cincinnati Oh (Lenora of Celtic Corner) It should be ready in Mid September for my stepson's wedding, and yes, I'm Jonesing!
I'm looking at online options for the argyll jacket and other accessories. Already noticed that scotweb.com has Ghillie Brogues in wide sizes, which I'll definitely need.
If anyone is aware of any Kilt nights here in Cincinnati please let me know.
Andrew

Welcome from Central Kentucky.
BTW Ghillie brogues are not necessary (and by some even scorned) for traditional civilian Highland dress, so if you have some nice black oxfords you can spend that money on something else.

Welcome, Andrew, from about 70 miles east of you. Click on the second line of my signature for a list of local activities held by the Cincinnati Caledonian Society. The Society's Annual Corn Roast (picnic) is coming up August 25. You need not be a member to attend.
There are quite a few folks in SW Ohio active here on Xmarks. Always good to have another.

Hello and welcome from Houston, TX. Fry me up some goetta, and save me some Graeter's ice cream! Skyline Chili ain't half bad, either.
