New member from Fort Smith, Arkansas, USA
Hi, after lurking on xmarksthescot I have decided to get more involved. I'm a long time (on again off again) kilt wearer. Started with a Utilikilt, now have a tartan kilt of more traditional design. And am working on an x-kilt.
I do quite a bit of leatherwork, and am looking forward to a new kilt belt. I produced my first sporran recently, using the Scottish Screen Archive video MAKING A SPORRAN IN LEATHER as my inspiration ( http://ssa.nls.uk/film.cfm?fid=0958 ).
Not a lot of local kilt-wearing here in Western Arkansas...but maybe I can change that.
Looking forward to learning from all of you.

Roger, welcome to X Marks from Delaware; glad you have joined in. You certainly will learn a lot here but, from the looks of your beautiful sporran, you'll have plenty to share as well. Very nice work!

Not a member of the Scottish Club of Ft. Smith, eh? The Ozark Highlanders Pipes & Drums are right up 540 from you in Fayettepatch. SOCFS used to have a web site; if not, I can put you in touch with one of their officers. There are Burns Suppers in Ft. Smith, Fayetteville & Little Rock, and the Central Arkansas Scottish Cultural Association isn't too far away from you either.
Welcome from across the border in SW "Misery".
