A new member and maker of the sgian dubh
Hello big wide world!
I've just started advertising in xmarksthescot (a real sgian dubh made in Scotland) I'd be happy to hear from anyone who's had a chance to look at what I'm doing. If you haven't, then you really should!
Any questions, suggestions, opinions would be really welcome.
I sold couple of my knives to a gentleman (well he might not have been a gentleman) in Texas a few months ago, they were shipped off and arrived safe and sound. Just waiting to hear of the safe arrival of one to San Francisco. I usually edit the website on a daily basis and will be able to add some nice testimonials soon, also hoping to upload images of two new knives this weekend.
Look forward to hearing from you. Kindest regards Beardie Beastie

I like the look of your sgians. Very nice and distinctive, while still looking traditional.
On the website, the menus are all cut off for me (Firefox and IE8). They say <further info sgian d> with the "ubh" cut off of dubh. Also, not sure why some are spelt skean and some sgian and dubh is also dhu. If you are going for search hits, just put the "skean" and "dhu" spellings in the Interesting section. Keep the menus consistent.
I'd also move Works in Progress right below More Sgiandubhs (and spell sgian dubhs with a space.) That way all your sgians, completed and in progress are together.
I'd also suggest making the site use proportional rather than fixed spacing, that way it expands to fill available browser turf. On my laptop, the site seems very narrow.
Works pretty well on my iPhone browser. Only the works in progress menu is cutoff.
