New from NOLA
Hello,
I am a new member from New Orleans. I just bought my first kilt, a USAK casual in Warrior. I'm planning to run my next few races in it. I am also an officer in the US Navy and I'm planning to buy a 5yd in the US Navy tartan, just need to save up some money!

welcome
my daughter just moved there yesterday to work for the national parks. She's now looking for an apartment near Jean Lafitte national park. I was doing a lot of searching New Orleans last night trying to help her find a nice (safe) area in the French quarter. so I was kind of wandering your area last night

Grizz,
I'm assuming that she is going to be working at the park so she'll want to live on the westbank? If that's the case I would recommend Old Gretna. It's safe and there will be places.she can walk to. Eastbank, I'd recommend the Lower Garden District. It's farther from work but there will be more young people there.

I'll let her know. It's the first time she'd had to move, stay in temporary housing ( a youth Hostel) and find a place to live. The other National parks had on site housing. She called today feeling over whelmed.

Do you know what price range she's looking at?

She had something possible at 500 which she seemed pleased at. I found stuff in the 8's and 9's which she didn't immediately shut down. There is another new ranger whose housing fell through and they are maybe going to pool resources.
