New from the Pacific NW
I just joined this week and have already found a "cousin" -- seriously, we do seem to have a common ancestor -- andI learned of a new clan connection. I'm pleased, because the tartan that I know we can claim is one of those rare. . . really awful ones. (There aren't many that make me go "oh, dear").
I'm still learning the ropes, but to introduce myself I will say that my personal motto is "Onward, through the fog!" -- very appropriate as we live in the wet Pacific NW. I'm sharing what I learn with cousins, so your forum words of wisdom are traveling far.

Welcome.. I'm also a newbie, from the great emerald city of Seattle. We need more kilties around here! Well, not on the web, but here in the PNW.
