    New Pennsylvania Kilt Wearer Here

    Been wearing a kilt for about 6 months, have worn it to such places as church, shopping and work. I love it. I do subsribe to the belief that it is a replacement for pants and wear it as such, my only accessories so far are a home made sporan and tall socks for cold weather.

    What are the thoughts on winter wear? I like it a lot.

    Well, in summer it's hot, and in winter it's cold. Same with pants. No long johns with a kilt, though.

    The kilt works well in winter.

    I wear gym shorts under my kilt because I throw.
    This works well for the cold weather too.

    Throw in a good pair of kilt hose, dress in layers
    above the waist and you're good to go.

    Granted, I live in North Texas. If it dips below 30,
    that's cold for us.
