New Poster in WA
I've been lurking for a while, and was jostled into the mix after seeing the tam making threads.
I've been wearing kilts since 1992, after buying a "tank" in Edinburgh. Really the first major purchase of my life, and I'm glad I bought the best. It has served me well through college events, weddings (both those of friends, as well as my first), company parties, St. Andrew's Days, Burns Nights, Highland games, and many other events and non-events.
Been leaning more towards the "casual" kilts of late--less worry about wear and tear on my family tank, which means being more inclined to kilt-up as part of my regular attire. Not a fan of the Utilikilts--glad to be plaid, personally. But to each his own.
Fascinated by British military history, and am an active WWII reenactor (Green Howards, but also QOC Highlanders), and the occasional Victorian event.
Hope to be able to contribute more as I learn my way around.
